- Responsible engineer for Terran 1 thrust vector controller (TVC) firmware.
- Moved TVC firmware from buggy prototype to launch ready initial release.
- Implemented PID controllers, digital filters, and vector motor control firmware.
- Regularly worked with hardware engineers using DMMs, scopes, CAN monitors, and other tools to debug firmware/hardware issues.
- Contributed to in house developed scripting language, Novascript, including adding support for generic functions.
- Lead TVC inertial test platform operations and developed data collection, synchronization, and visualization software.

- Responsible for all electronic components at Hot Melt Technologies.
- Led ETL safety certification project for the majority of HMT's product line.
- Wrote low level C and C++ programs for 8 and 32 bit AVR, ARM, and PIC microcontrollers.
- Supervised and mentored a junior embedded systems engineer and an engineering technician.
- Managed production of wide array of industrial control electronic assemblies including in house and contract assembly.
- Designed new electronic products from the ground up involving PCB design/prototyping, firmware, and mechanicals.
- Built automated test fixtures for PCB assemblies.
- Used SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and USB protocols for product development.
- Developed firmware and corresponding Android and iOS apps for prototype WiFi connected hot melt equipment.
- Reverse engineered 20+ PCB designs including firmware to bring HMT's electronics in-house.
- Established test program for board assemblies including test fixture hardware, firmware, and desktop control application.
- Implemented PID temperature controller algorithms and user interfaces for 8 bit microcontrollers using C and C++.
- Created a hierarchical state machine description language to C code translator for use in HMT products.
